About CaptionOnReel
A free way to add animated captions to your Reels, Shorts and TikToks, without giving your video to anyone.
Why we made it
Captions help people watch with the sound off, and they keep viewers watching longer. But most caption tools ask you to sign up, upload your video to their servers, pay to remove a watermark, or wait in a queue. We wanted something simpler.
How it works
You pick a video. The speech in it is turned into text on your own phone or computer, you fix any words that are off, pick one of 22 caption styles, and download your video with the captions on it. Nothing is uploaded at any point.
What you can count on
- It's free to use, with no signup and no watermark.
- Your video stays on your device.
- It works in the latest Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox, on phones and computers.
